The DeWalt 32 Piece XR Professional Magnetic Screwdriver Bit Accessory Set is an extremely hardwearing bit set offering excellent value for money.
The individual bits are made from hardened steel and while they may lack the advanced features of some of the premium offerings (laser tips for example) they do make up for it in their sturdiness and excellent value for money. The individual bits are suitable for use with both cordless drill and manual drivers
Screwing performance was good, the individual bits are high quality. We experienced minimal cam slip even when under high torque when screwing into a variety of materials.

The bits are also all colour coded, this makes identification easy without looking directly at the tips of the bits – this can be a problem on cheaper bit sets.
The colour coding is as follows:
- Torx – Yellow

- Slotted – Orange
- Hex – Pink
The individual bits are not magnetic however the bit holder is – the bit holder fits nicely in the chuck of a cordless drill or manual driver with no slippage. The magnetic bit holder makes bit swap outs a breeze.
The hard case is of very high quality and we can imagine that it will survive the kind of daily bumps and knocks it’ll encounter over its lifetime. Each bit fits snugly and is easily accessible once opened.
We found the integrated belt clip to be more of a novelty than a must have feature. It is sturdy but we found that opening the box with one hand (with the other holding the top of a ladder or holding a drill) was a bit hit or miss. We think it’s better to plan ahead and keep the bits you need in your pocket.
Overall the DeWalt 32 Piece XR Professional Magnetic Screwdriver Bit Accessory Set is a superb quality tool set at a very competitive price. We loved the colour coding on the individual bits and the hard case is very durable.
For its price it’s very hard not to recommend.
